Palestine record scorer Oday Dabbagh has joined Aberdeen on loan from Charleroi in Belgium.
The Dons have secured an option to buy the 26-year-old, who has netted 16 international goals from 45 caps.
Manager Jimmy Thelin described Dabbagh as a “clinical finisher who has an exceptional work ethic”.
He has played 15 times in Pro League this season, with just four starts, scoring once.
Dabbagh spent two seasons with Arouca in Portugal before his move to Belgium.
The Dons have failed to score in any of their last five Premiership matches and have not won in the league since 9 November.
Earlier on deadline day, Aberdeen recruited Mats Knoester following the expiration of the centre-half’s contract at Ferencvaros.
Having agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Pittodrie, Knoester, 26, told the club website: “I had other options but when I knew Aberdeen were interested, I wanted to come here.
“I was already aware of the club and how big it was and as soon as I arrived, I could see how professional the environment is.
“I am looking forward to this challenge, in a good league, where football is deep in the culture.”
The left-sided defender spent three seasons at Heracles after coming through the academy at Feyenoord.
He made the switch to Ferencvaros in 2022, winning the Hungarian title the following year, and spent last season on loan at Aarhus in Denmark.
“Mats has a really strong pedigree,” said Thelin.
“He has had a good football education in the Netherlands and brings with him experience in European competitions.”
