Phoebe Lewis, who has endometriosis, says regular check ups are needed for those living with a chronic illness, as it can affect all areas of life.
The 26-year-old said her diagnosis was “heavy to deal with” after years of being dismissed by medical professionals and told that she was dramatising her symptoms.
A committee report has called for more support for the growing number of people living with one or more long-term conditions in Wales.
The Welsh government said it will consider the recommendations and respond in due course.
