With a messy mix of snow and freezing rain on the way to parts of New Brunswick, some schools have closed.
All Anglophone West and Francophone Northwest schools are closed.
Fredericton and Oromocto schools in the Francophone South district are also closed.
According to CBC meteorologist Ryan Snoddon, snow will spread in from west to east throughout the morning and early afternoon, before transitioning to ice pellets and freezing rain and then rain as temperatures rise.
Across the southwest of the Maritimes, he said, snow will add up to 2-4 centimetres, with closer to 4-8 centimetres coming for the rest of the region.

In northern New Brunswick, 8-12 centimetres are possible, especially over higher terrain, said Snoddon.
