Hart says he saw no ‘degrading’ behaviour
Dudding asks Hart if he has any memory of players being “disrespectful” to E.M.
“No, never,” Hart replies. “If something like that would have happened, I would have stopped or I would have left… If something disrespectful or degrading happened, it’s not OK.”
Dudding asks if “someone spitting on anybody” would be considered disrespectful, and Hart says yes, but he never saw anyone do that to the woman.
“If you had seen something like that, then what would have been your response?” Dudding asks.
“I would say, ‘Don’t do that,’ or ‘Stop.’ I would have just left.”
Dudding then asks Hart if it would have been disrespectful if players were bullying E.M. or laughing at her, and he replies: “That would be.”
The lawyer asks if Hart saw “any spitting … or any degrading behaviour.”
He responds, “I never saw anything like that.”
Dudding’s questioning of Hart is over.
Next, after the lunch break that’s just started, Dillon Dubé’s legal representation will question Hart.
