The Sea-to-Sky Highway has reopened after a serious multi-vehicle crash between Britannia Beach and Murrin Provincial Park near Squamish, B.C., closed the road for nearly six hours on Sunday afternoon.
DriveBC, the province’s highway information service, confirmed both lanes opened at around 9:45 p.m. but is warning travellers to expect delays as congestion clears.
The collision occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on the highway, just north of Britannia Beach, Squamish RCMP said in a release on Sunday evening.
