Unusually, Williams went straight down the Swansea.com Stadium tunnel at full-time rather than acknowledging the home crowd.
When asked what was going through his mind at that point, he said: “I am in a world of pain, a whole world of pain.
“So I needed a few moments to myself because I have to try to compose myself to speak to the players and to speak to you in the correct way. I needed a few moments.”
Swansea, who remain seven points above the relegation zone despite their latest defeat, were booed off by some sections of their support at half-time and full-time.
Williams said he had no complaints over the fans’ reaction as he insisted Swansea will turn their poor form around.
“I certainly will do everything I possibly can, until I’m told not to, or until our fortunes turn,” he added.
“If you are a fan of the club, it’s with you all the time. If you are the head coach, there’s nowhere that Swansea City is not with you.
“But I am not made of sugar, so I will keep trying as much as I possibly can.”
